How do I scrap my vehicle?​

You can complete the scrapping of your vehicle yourself, but you would need to arrange taking your vehicle to ann authorised treatment facility.  You will also need to forward on the relevant documentation to the DVLA.

Once your vehicles is scrapped, you can then claim back your unused car tax. 

My vehicle has broken down.  Can you still collect it and pay cash for it?

Yes!  We collect all cars, vans and commercial vehicles and pay cash for them. Non-running cars, MOT failures and untaxed vehicles - we take them all!

Do I need the car keys?

No, we buy any scrap car or van, even without the keys. But if you've told us that your car starts and drives, you'll need to provide them.

Do you purchase vehicles without a MOT Test Certificate or Tax?

Yes, we purchase any scrap vans or cars, even those without a valid MOT Test Certificate.

I need a Vehicle Surrender Form.  Can you help?

Absolutely.  If you no longer have your log book or V5 document, we can arrange a Vehicle Surrender Form for you.  We will just need to see some proof of ownership.

How will I know that the vehicle has been successfully scrapped?

We will issue you with your Full Certificate of Destruction from the DVLA.

Do you charge to collect my vehicle?

No, the collection of your vehicle to be scrapped is completely free.

There are lots of sites offering collection of vehicles for cash.  How are you different?

There's plenty of sites in the area that collect vehicles for cash.  We offer a fair, honest price - depending on the vehicle, and current price of scrap metal.  We pay up to £400 per vehicle!  We also are a fully insured, trusted service that only scraps your vehicle at our authorised treatment facility and we obtain a Certificate of Destruction from the DVLA on your behalf.

How much does a quotation cost?

Absolutely nothing and there's no obligation to accept. Just send us your car registration, postcode and contact details online to see how much your scrap car or van is worth.

Do I have to make a decision there and then?

No. Just let us know when you are ready or if you need to discuss it further.

What kind of vehicles do you buy?

Any and All!  It doesn't matter what the age or condition of your car is, whether it has a high mileage or has been written off - we buy any scrap car or scrap van!

Does my car or van have to be free from major damage?

No, we buy any scrap car even if it's damaged. However, we need to know if your vehicle has any damage when we provide you with a quotation.  

Does my scrap car have to be complete?

No, we buy any scrap car even if it has missing parts. Just let us know the condition of your vehicle when you request a quotation as missing parts will reflect in the price.

Does my scrap car need to start and drive?

No, we buy any scrap car, whether it starts and drives or not, we have a flatbed to retreive all our non-runners.

Does my scrap car need to be accessible for collection?

When you ask us for a quotation, just let us know where it is and whether it can be safely winched onto a recovery vehicle for collection. Don’t panic if you are not sure, we can discuss when we get in contact with you.

Do I need my scrap car's registration certificate?

No, your car's registration certificate (V5C) isn't essential and this will not affect your quote. However, it helps if you do have it, as it can make selling your car easier.
