1. Tell us about the vehicle
Registration, postcode, mileage, MOT status, whether it starts, visible damage and access details all help us understand what is being collected.
RDA Vehicle Dismantlers helps drivers deal with unwanted, damaged and end-of-life vehicles without unnecessary hassle. Tell us what you have, where it is and what condition it is in, and we can review the details before arranging the next step.
Your registration and collection postcode give us the quickest starting point.

For eligible vehicles where same-day collection is available, we can arrange collection and same-day payment once the agreed handover is completed.
RDA has been connected with vehicle dismantling and recycling in the Risca and Newport area for decades. The new website keeps that practical approach but makes it easier to give us the information we need before collection.
Registration, postcode, mileage, MOT status, whether it starts, visible damage and access details all help us understand what is being collected.
We look at the information you provide and contact you. A quote request is not a commitment to sell, so you can decide whether the offer and process suit you.
If you decide to proceed, we confirm the practical details, paperwork and collection arrangements before the vehicle is moved.

RDA Vehicle Dismantlers, also known locally as RDA Recycling, has more than 30 years of experience in vehicle dismantling and recycling across South Wales. The business has grown around a straightforward combination of vehicle collection, dismantling, salvage, recycling and reusable parts. That means a car which has become uneconomical to repair does not simply disappear into a pile of metal. It is assessed, processed and dismantled so usable components and recyclable materials can be recovered wherever appropriate.
We deal with vehicles in many different conditions. Some still run but have failed an MOT. Others have engine, gearbox, clutch, electrical or structural problems. Accident-damaged cars, insurance write-offs, long-term non-runners and vehicles that have simply become too expensive to keep can all be submitted for review. The important thing is to describe the vehicle honestly so the right collection method and treatment route can be planned.
Age alone does not decide whether a vehicle is worth repairing, selling for salvage or processing as an end-of-life vehicle.
Cars where corrosion, suspension, emissions or other repair costs no longer make sense.
Vehicles with engine, gearbox, electrical, starting or transmission faults.
Accident damage, write-offs and vehicles that are difficult to sell privately.
Vehicles sitting unused on a drive, at a garage or taking up valuable space.

Vehicle dismantling is also about recovering serviceable components. RDA has long supplied used parts for cars, vans and 4x4s, including engines, gearboxes, alternators, starter motors, suspension components, lights, mirrors, doors, wheels, interior trim and body panels. Stock changes constantly as vehicles arrive and parts are sold, so the fastest way to check availability is to send the exact vehicle and component details.
Registration, model year, engine size, part number and a photograph can all help avoid a wrong match. If a garage is carrying out the repair, ask them for any identifying code from the old component and include it with your enquiry.
Find a used car partVehicles that are genuinely being scrapped need to enter the proper treatment route. At an authorised treatment facility, the vehicle can be identified, depolluted and prepared for dismantling and recycling. Fluids, batteries and other potentially hazardous items are handled before the remaining materials are separated for reuse or recycling.
RDA’s live website has long described the business as a DVLA-authorised treatment facility and promotes compliance with the end-of-life vehicle process. The redesigned site keeps that information clearer: ownership and paperwork matter, the vehicle condition needs to be accurately described, and a Certificate of Destruction is issued where the relevant legal conditions apply.
Another point worth making clearly is payment. If a vehicle is being bought as scrap in England or Wales, legislation does not allow cash payment. Payment must be made by a traceable method such as electronic transfer or non-transferable cheque. That protects both the customer and the licensed operator.
